From the People’s Republic of China to the Philippines and Indonesia, communities are working together to overcome problems associated with clean water and sanitation. Providing adequate sanitation services to a burgeoning population brings significant challenges. When lack of awareness, misplaced priorities, lack of infrastructure, and apathy are added to the equation, these challenges can seem insurmountable. The Asia and Pacific region, with its resilience and ability to innovate, has proven that solutions for these challenges can be found. This video showcases the difficulties, experiences and actions undertaken by individuals, communities, organizations, and governments when addressing sanitation issues in the Asia and Pacific region.

The Asian Development Bank aims for an Asia and Pacific free from poverty.
